GLASS BEAD/GLASS BLEND
Glass Bead is environmentally friendly and can be recycled up to eight times or more. It is manufactured from lead-free, soda lime-type glass containing no free silica, that is made into preformed spherical balls. Glass bead blasting will not leach toxins into the environment, will not leave residue on work pieces, and will not cause dimensional changes to the base part being cleaned.
Crushed Glass is made from 100% recycled glass. It stands out as a versatile, eco-friendly, and cost-effective option for a wide range of blasting applications. It generates low dust and contains no detectable free silica, making it a safer alternative for manufacturing, construction, or marine industry workers, and excelling in automotive, fiberglass, hobby, and soda blast alternative applications. It is non-hazardous, non-toxic and completely inert, so it is safe to use around water.
Blending the Glass Bead with the crushed glass produces a custom performance blend that is excellent at removing light to medium deposits/rust yet provides a lighter finish to clean/whiten the substrate. It combines a popular abrasive known for deburring/peening with an abrasive known for its all-around abilities to create one of the best surface prep abrasives for light/medium metals and other substrates.
