These blends can incorporate different abrasives as well as different mesh sizes to create a go-to product that can eliminate the need for carrying multiple abrasives.
Custom Performance Blends can have good results both in the process and financially. The process can be benefited by using a harder abrasive do the bulk of the removal, while a slightly softer abrasive does the cleanup and deburring. The result is a clean substrate without heavy pitting that is ready for coating. The financial reward is using a less costly abrasive mixed with a more expensive abrasive to achieve a better overall price with great results.
